life lesson part 467

why is it that we (or me) always have to learn the most important lessons the hard way other wise we just don't learn...danm you universe i am not a cartoon character!!

the most recent of all life lessons was the 'if-you-forgive-someone-dont-keep-bringing-that-shit-back-up-or-it-will-bite-you-in-the-ass-and-you-will-see-how-that-shit-feels-you-moody-cow'lesson.

thankfully, i haven't had to forgive many people for huge mistakes but it did make me think. why do people act OK about something when they're not then keep complaining about it. here's a prime example (side note:: this is not relevant to my life before you haters start having a street party i wanted to rain on that parade) when women/men forgive their partner for cheating because they're scared of loosing them but then bring up the 'sideline hoe' in every argument. seriously? yes they cheated, you forgave them so now you can't complain.

i'm not gonna lie here i'm the mother of all grudge holders. i hold grudges better than Turkish people hold disabled badges but what i didn't realize is how bad it must have made the other person feel especially if it was a) 365 years ago that they made the mistake and b) if they were sorry and felt guilty. in all honesty i think we can all admit that no one is perfect and in all types of relationships people will make mistakes that will hurt you but if you have forgiven them, by bringing it up shows you haven't grown or moved on at all. lets have a heart to heart here. how many times have you called in sick to work knowing they would struggle without you? and how many times have you ignored a friends txt because you just couldn't be bothered to deal with they're endless moaning and how many times have you eaten that last bit of desert in the fridge that your sister was saving for the next day (duygu this ones for you. i know you did it) we've all done it. be it serious or not the fact is throwing it back in someones face is just plain wrong. think of how they must feel its bad enough they feel guilty but don't tortured them! they said they're sorry. move the f*ck on.

think of it like this, if you got a cut and it was just healing and you poked it and as it was trying to heal back up you kept poking it... you're going to leave a life long scare and sometimes that could be more harmful than the initial cut.

so kids the moral of the story is: if you accept something that someone has done to you, you are never ever allowed to bring it back up. period.
